Museum Hours

Over the summer months, we are open to the public from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We are closed on Sundays and statutory holidays.

Traveling to Smithers

Located in Northwest British Columbia, the town of Smithers is accessible by road, rail and air. We are located on Highway 16 approximately mid-way between Prince George and Prince Rupert. VIA Rail’s famed Skeena route between Jasper, Alberta and Prince Rupert stops in Smithers daily. The recently expanded Smithers airport offer daily flights to and from Vancouver and other Western Canada locations. Airlines serving Smithers include Air Canada Jazz, Hawkair, and Central Mountain Air. Alpine Lakes Air offers float plane service out of its nearby Tyhee Lake base.
